That beautiful thing that falls down from the sky, typically during winter. It covers over everything in a blanket of white so every imperfection is hidden. Fresh fallen snow glistens when light touches it. This warming feeling that everything will be fine covers your worries. That's what God's grace does... He takes all of our imperfections and covers them completely with His grace. Sometimes we can't even tell what the object was to begin with.
“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool." Isaiah 1:18
We sin every day, despite not trying to. But God is gracious enough to take that scarlet sin and make it pure, like it never happened. Yes, if we dig around in the snow long enough we can still find it. But we can also take a bit of that grace and pick it up and toss it on someone else who needs some grace and forgiveness, just as we would make a snowball and throw it at someone. We need to show God's grace to those around us, cause we never know what might be hidden just below the surface.
